TERMS AND CONDITIONS FOR ADMISSION
- These terms and conditions will form an essential part of the contract between PG Management Academy and any student offered a place at the Academy. They should be read carefully and understood before signing and submitting the application. Every student of this course shall abide by the rules of the Academy. Any change made in rules and regulations from time to time by the Academy will be applicable when modified during the academic year.
- Every effort has been made to ensure that the information contained in the Prospectus is accurate. The Academy will take all reasonable steps to provide the educational services described in the Prospectus. However, the content of individual courses and the curriculum for any given course are under constant academic review and may change from time to time.
- Decisions are taken by the Academy in good faith on the basis of statements made in a student’s application for admission. All admissions are provisional till eligibility is confirmed by the Academy. It is the responsibility of the candidates to ascertain whether. If it is discovered that a false statement has been made or significant information has been omitted from a student’s application form, the Academy may withdraw or amend its offer, or terminate the student’s registration at the Academy, according to the circumstances.
- Admission will be confirmed only after payment of prescribed fees. Admission will be cancelled in case of not submitting the required documents in time, submission of fake or incorrect documents, fees not paid in time and failing to fulfill required eligibility criteria of the respective courses.
- Tuition fees are due, in full, on or before the final published date, and are subject to annual revision. While the Academy will take all reasonable steps to avoid large increases in tuition fees, it reserves the right to implement such increases in fees it deems appropriate. In deciding upon increases in tuition fees the Academy will take into consideration such factors as inflation and market competition.
- Students who are personally liable to pay any part of their fees may be permitted to arrange to pay these under the Academy’s installment scheme. The payment of fees is the responsibility of the student. In the event of arrangements for the payment of the fees, satisfactory to the Academy, is not made within four weeks of the advertised final date, the Academy shall forthwith terminate any contractual obligation which the Academy has with the student in question, and that without incurring any liability to such student.
- Students in debt to the Academy, in respect of tuition fees, will not be permitted to appear for examinations, until such time as the debt has been paid in full or satisfactory arrangements are agreed for repayment. In the event of non-payment by a student of any such sums, the Academy may raise court proceedings for payment and the student by his or her acceptance of the Academy’s offer of admission agrees with the Academy that the High Court at Ernakulam will have exclusive jurisdiction to deal with such proceedings and that in any such proceedings, these Terms & Conditions and any contract into which they are imported will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the nation.
- Although candidates are admitted initially as prospective students, the Academy does not guaranteed at the outset that the candidate will be conferred the diploma or degree in the course taken, as it totally depends on the overall performance and conduct. The Academy reserves the right to exclude from studies forthwith any student who willfully and persistently neglects his or her academic work to such an extent that there is no reasonable possibility of him or her being regarded as having duly performed the work of the course.
- The Academy training programs are intended to be an intense learning experience. Students are expected to focus on their studies and skills while maintaining an exemplary standard of conduct. Students are expected to comply with all rules and regulations of the Academy. Intentional or reckless acts of misconduct may result in commensurate disciplinary action, up to and including immediate dismissal from the Academy. Students dismissed due to serious violations and subsequently readmitted after mitigation will be required to begin in a new class and satisfactorily complete the entire course.
- Academy training requires students to interact with each other respectfully. Every student is expected and required to interact positively and dynamically with fellow students, and to treat them with respect and courtesy at all times. Everyone at the Academy is entitled to be treated by others with dignity and respect. All members of the teaching and non-teaching staff have to be addressed by the appropriate rank or title, or “Sir”, or “Ma’am”.
- The Academy will not tolerate discrimination in any form. The use of profane, ethnically offensive, or insulting language is strictly prohibited. Verbal or physical conduct implied or overt that could reasonably be construed to demean or have similar effects on another person or a group of persons is seen as harassment that is tantamount to unreasonably interfering with the training programme or creating an intimidating, hostile and offensive training environment. It is the policy of the Academy to thoroughly investigate and resolve all complaints of discrimination in accordance with applicable laws or regulations.
- Integrity is essential for making a successful career. Cheating or lying by any student is considered unbecoming conduct. Violators will be subject to immediate disciplinary action. Likewise, students having direct or indirect knowledge of cheating, lying or deception of any kind who does not report such activity to the authorities will also be subject to disciplinary action up to and including dismissal from the Academy.
- If any provision of the contract, constituted by acceptance by the student of the Academy’s offer of admission, shall be held by any court or other competent authority to be void or unenforceable, in whole or in part, that contract shall continue to be valid as to the other provisions contained in it and the remainder of the affected provision.
- In case a student withdraws due to illness, injury, personal hardship, or good cause otherwise shown, the student may be allowed certification after such student has successfully completed a subsequent Academy session, in whole or part, as determined by the Dean of the Academy.
- Refund of tuition fees may be made, at the discretion of the Academy, where a student withdraws from a programme of studies with the approval of the Dean of the Academy. The Registration Fee paid at the time of admission is not refundable under any circumstance.
- 16. The entire Academy grounds are non-smoking zones. Use of tobacco and smoking are not permitted inside the Academy building or in its facilities. The use or possession of alcoholic beverages or illicit drugs anywhere inside the premises of the Academy is strictly prohibited.
- Any notice or other information that, either the Academy or the student requires to give to the other - in connection with the agreement entered into between them - may be given by electronic means, by hand or sent by registered post, or comparable means of communication. It shall be the responsibility of the student to intimate to the Academy any change in the student’s address, telephone numbers, or email id. Notices or information sent to the last intimated address of the student as provided above shall be deemed to have been properly given. Any message or information in the name of the Academy sent to students from unauthorized sources should be completely ignored

- Any student feeling the need for counseling in relation to either academic or personal problems should contact the Academic Coordinator for assistance. Any student having concerns about safety or health is encouraged to immediately communicate their concerns to the Academic Coordinator. Though it is the responsibility of the student to ask for assistance, the Academic Coordinator may refer a student at any time for appropriate counseling as deemed necessary to further the success of the student.
- In an effort to maintain a professional appearance, it is the policy of the Academy to enforce regulations regarding appropriate grooming and clothing standards that are commensurate with professional dress codes. Students who are not prescribed uniforms shall wear “business casual” clothing.
- Mobile phones should either be switched off or kept in silent or vibrating mode as their use is strictly forbidden during training sessions. Noise should be kept to a minimum at all times in the hallways and corridors. During breaks between classes, students will not loiter in nor block the hallway. Students will respectfully and quickly clear a path for visitors, members of staff or outside agency personnel to move about and conduct agency business. Quiet should be maintained at all times so as not to disrupt other classes or the work of the Academy employees. Breaks will be taken in designated areas only.
- Misuse of furniture, facilities, equipment, computers and teaching tools will be considered as negligence. Those involved shall be required to pay for repairs or replacement of damaged property. Further disciplinary action may be taken depending upon the severity of the damage and or the intent of the responsible party.
- Keeping the classrooms and training venues neat and tidy comes under the domain of professional training and etiquette. Training chairs must be returned to the locations they were found and placed appropriately after each training session. All litter should be properly disposed of. Bulletin boards, desks, and material tables will be maintained in an orderly fashion. Briefcases or gear bags have to be kept at the back of the classroom, in those areas designated by the Center Head or Academic Coordinator. Food, gum, and candy are not allowed in the classroom without prior approval of the Center Head.
- Students are required to surrender the notebook for inspection upon the request of Instructor or Class Training Coordinator. During any written test that is administered under the authority of the affiliating body, students will have no class notes, personal notes, notebooks, flash cards, class handouts, or any other related material on or around their desks unless specifically authorized by the instructor. Any violation of this rule will be considered evidence of cheating and shall result in disciplinary action. Students should not enter the Academy staff workspaces except for official business. Questions regarding Academy matters should be directed to the Class Training Coordinator.
- Attendance is required for all scheduled classes. If a student misses classes due to emergency, the Center Head must approve absence requests. An unauthorized absence can be cause for dismissal from the course. Students will not leave the Academy or its facilities during class training sessions without first obtaining permission from the Instructor.
- Tardy students who are habitually late will be subject to disciplinary action. Those who are unable to attend classes due to illness are required to report the matter by telephone to the Center Head before the time of the commencement of classes.
- Running around within the Academy premises is a risk management issue and is prohibited. All injuries, regardless of severity, must be reported to a staff member as soon as possible. Students who fail to report or who are evasive or deceptive in the documentation of injuries, shall be subject to disciplinary action.
- If a situation arises that, in the opinion of the training staff, necessitates immediate action for the integrity or safety of the classroom, the instructor, or designee, has the authority to suspend a student from training by ordering that student to immediately leave the classroom until a review of the situation is completed. Emergency suspension will result in the immediate notification of the student’s parents. Complaint investigations should be considered a high priority and will be completed within five class days. If unforeseen circumstances occur, the Dean of the Academy. may extend this time limit. All involved students and staff will be notified of any such extensions.
- The Center Head should be immediately notified of any complaint alleging conduct that would constitute a criminal offense. All such complaints would be forwarded for investigation to Aluva Police or to the appropriate law enforcement agency, if any such incident were to occur on Academy grounds.
- Evaluation of students is a continuing process encompassing academic standing, skills performance, professional appearance, physical ability, attitude, and interpersonal skills
